The beach Playa de Amadores is a large, 800 meters long, sheltered bay with white sand and is located just behind Puerto Rico in the southwest of the island.
A perfect beach to relax.
It was completed in 2004 and is the largest man-made beach on the island. The beach holds the blue flag award, a European award for beaches with the highest quality and cleanliness standards. This beach is especially suitable for children and families. Ball games are not allowed on the beach to provide a peaceful environment. The beach is supervised by lifeguards.
There are showers and toilets and it is very suitable for people with disabilities. On site you can enjoy numerous water sports such as water skiing, jet skiing, paragliding, banana boat, stand up paddle and more.
The largest chill out club on the island.
Right on the beach there are many restaurants, ice cream parlors and shopping areas. On the western mound is also a large chill out club complete with its own swimming pool, founded by David Silva, a Spanish footballer. The parking on the beach is very large and relatively cheap.
A promenade connects the beach with Puerto Rico. About 200 meters away on the hillside there is also a large hotel with great views, the Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa. The beach is very easy to reach with various bus lines. Be sure to check out the especially beautiful sunsets directly on the mountain of Teide on the neighboring Canary Island of Tenerife, which can be seen from here very well.
